Knut's Acoustics

This website was started by Knut Guettler (1943-2013), acoustician (ph.d) and double bass professor and performer. It was his wish that this website would turn into a meeting point for string players and acousticians. There is a selection of articles on the subject, links to other websites of interest and there is a question and comment function.

There is no single person possessing Knut's vast knowledge in both fields, but with a group of consisting acousticians and musicians we wish to continue his work on this site and will do our best to answer incoming questions.
